Remark Test Grading Cloud Edition includes several standard reports that allow you to look at grades across the class and for individual students, as well as learning objective grades, item analysis and general test statistics. Reports can be saved as PDF files, printed and emailed.
To run reports
From the My Classes screen click the desired class.
From the test list, click the desired test. From the Menu on the left, click Reports. Alternatively, locate the test in the list and click the Reports icon under Test Actions.
A list of reports appears. Click a link to run a report. Or, select multiple reports by checking their boxes and then click View Reports in the Menu on the left.
The following reports are available:
Condensed Item Analysis Report
The Condensed Item Analysis Report provides answer choice frequency information on a question-by-question basis, which for test grading is useful for question validity. The question is displayed at the top of each table. Within the table is each answer choice, the frequency the answer choice was chosen and the corresponding percent. A bar chart is displayed to the right of the table. The bar chart displays the correct response(s) in green and the incorrect response(s) in red. If an incorrect response is chosen more than the correct response(s), its bar chart is yellow.
The Condensed Test Report provides answer choice frequency information on a question by question basis, including distractor and class score information. This report is a great way to see question and class performance at a glance. The Condensed Test Report lists each question on the test along with the frequencies for each answer choice. Distractors and non-distractors are pointed out so that you can view question performance. The Point Biserial statistic and upper/lower percentages are displayed. You may optionally display class score data, including Total Possible Points, Total Students, Standard Deviation, Median Score, Mean Score, Reliability Coefficient, Maximum Score, Minimum Score, and Range of Scores.
The Student Grade Report provides complete test information for each student that can be handed back to a student, parent, teacher, guidance counselor, etc. The Student Grade reports are run one per student, displaying each student’s grade, total score, and percent score, along with benchmark scores if applicable. It also displays learning objective performance if applicable. Any questions answered incorrectly are listed, along with the correct answer.
The Student Response Report provides a class view of all test responses by student and by question, providing visual insight into both student and question performance. The students are listed down the left side of the report. The questions are listed across the top of the report. Each student's answer to each graded question is listed within a colored box: green for correct responses and red for incorrect responses. A white empty box means the student left the question blank or the answer is somehow invalid. To the far right of the report total score, percent score, and grade are listed. At the bottom of the report the average per questions is listed, as well as averages for the total score, percent score, and grade.
The Student Statistics Report is used to view class performance for tests. It shows detailed information about learning objectives, objective questions, and subjective questions. It is a great report for quickly seeing how students are performing and whether they are meeting standards. The Student Statistics report lists each student in the class with his/her total score and percent score. If using subjective questions, it can delineate between the objective and subjective score. If using learning objectives, each objective is listed separately, providing the ability to see whether objectives are being mastered. If using benchmark scores, the bar chart displays whether each student met the defined benchmark score.
The Student Test Report provides individual student reports based on the test answer sheet. An image of the student's answer sheet is displayed and annotated with the grade information. Correct answers are enclosed in a green circle and incorrect answers are enclosed in a red box. The correct responses are displayed after the answer choices for any incorrect responses. At the top right of the report the Percent and Total Scores are displayed, along with a breakdown of Objective and Subjective scores, if the subjective score section of the test answer sheet is used.
The Test Item Statistics Report displays statistical information for each question, allowing you to quickly see which questions were answered correctly and incorrectly, as well as question validity information. The Test Item Statistics report displays each question and its point value, how many times the question was graded on the test, how many students answered the question correctly, incorrectly or did not answer it, Point Biserial (a measure of how closely the performance on a test item is related to the performance on the total test) and the percent of students who answered the question correct (sometimes called P-value).
The Test Statistics Report displays descriptive statistics about the overall test. If the subjective question is used on the test, a breakdown of statistics for the overall test, objective items and subjective item are displayed. If Learning Objectives are used, the report displays the information for each individual learning objective defined. (Learning objectives test a student's knowledge on a particular subset of questions on the exam. You may create learning objectives and then assign specific questions to each objective using the Advanced Answer Key feature.)
The following statistics are available:
Number of Graded Items: Displays the number of items on the test that were graded.
Total Points Possible: Displays the total number of points on the test.
Maximum Score: Displays the highest score from the graded tests.
Minimum Score: Displays the lowest score from the graded tests.
Mean Score: Displays the average score of all of the graded tests.
Mean Percent Score: Displays the average percent score of all of the graded tests.
Benchmark Score: Displays the benchmark percent score entered on the answer key, if applicable. This is the score you want your students to achieve to be considered proficient. You may compare it to the Mean Percent Score to see how students are measuring up to the benchmark.
Range of Scores: The range is the distance between the highest and lowest score.
Standard Deviation: A measure of the dispersion of a set of data from its mean. The more spread apart the data is, the higher the deviation. It is calculated by taking the square root of the variance.
Variance: The amount that each score deviates from the mean squared (by multiplying it by itself).
Percentile (25 and 75): Percentiles are values that divide a sample of data into one hundred groups containing (as far as possible) equal numbers of observations. For example, 25% of the data values lie below the 25th percentile.
Median Score: The median of the scores from the graded tests.
Inter Quartile Range: The difference between the 75th percentile and the 25th percentile.
Confidence Intervals (1, 5, 95 and 99%): A confidence interval gives an estimated range of values that is likely to include an unknown population parameter, the estimated range being calculated from a given set of sample data. If independent samples are taken repeatedly from the same population, and a confidence interval calculated for each sample, then a certain percentage (confidence level) of the intervals includes the unknown population parameter. Remark Test Grading Edition calculates Confidence Intervals of 1%, 5%, 95% and 99%.
Kuder-Richardson Formula 20: This formula measures test reliability and is an overall measure of internal consistency. A higher value indicates a stronger relationship between items on the test.
Kuder-Richardson Formula 21: This formula measures test reliability and is an overall measure of internal consistency. A higher value indicates a stronger relationship between items on the test.
Coefficient (Cronbach) Alpha: A coefficient that describes how well a group of items focuses on a single idea or construct.
