Advanced Tests - Multiple Choice Questions

Multiple choice questions can be added in sections. Sections allow you to group similar questions if desired (e.g., True/False, Multiple Choice, etc.). A multiple choice section contains one or more multiple choice questions where students select from a pre-defined list of answer choices.

To add multiple choice sections

  1. Click New under Multiple Choice Sections. If you have previously created multiple choice questions, you can reuse the properties you set before by choosing from the Recent list.
  2. Enter a Title for the section (optional).
  3. Enter the number of Questions, up to 360.
  4. Enter the number of Choices for your answers, up to 26.
  5. Choose the desired formatting options:
    1. Restart question numbering: Starts the section over at 1. The question number is next to the bubble.
    2. Insert line break before section: Places a horizontal line before the section of questions.
    3. Insert page break before section: Places the section of questions on the next page.
    4. Alternate choices between questions: Allows you to utilize an alternating answer schema such as A-E and F-I.
  6. Use the Choices box to enter the possible answer choices for the question(s). As you begin typing characters, the application provides a list of possible choices.
  7. Click the Add button to add the section.
  8. Continue adding multiple choice sections of questions as needed.
