Creating Advanced Tests Overview

Creating advanced tests gives you more control over the layout of the test answer sheet, and offers the following additional functionality over basic tests:

Tests can have a maximum of 360 total questions, including a maximum of 50 math and 50 subjective questions. Subjective questions cannot exceed 25 pages in total.

To create advanced tests

  1. From the My Classes screen click the desired class.

  2. From the left Options menu, click Advanced Test.
  3. Enter a Test Name.

To set up form settings

You can set basic form level settings to determine how certain question types fit on the page.

  1. Click Form Settings from the left menu.
  2. Choose a Multiple Choice Section Layout. Determine multiple choice question placement based on your page size:
    1. Default: left alignment.
    2. Justify: spreads the questions evenly across the page.
    3. Center: places the question section in the center of the page.
  1. Choose Multiple Choice Section Scaling. Fit-Width fits the questions to the width of the page. Fit-Height fits the questions to the height of the page. These settings help determine how many questions fit per page.
  2. Choose a Subjective Section Layout. When placing subjective questions on the page, you can fit them vertically or horizontally. Vertical (Top-Down) means questions will go one after the other down the page. Horizontal (Left-Right) means that questions will go across the page first, then down. In this case questions 1 and 2 would be across from each other, and question 3 would start on the next row.
  3. Determine whether to Dock all subjective questions to the bottom of the page. This setting makes sure that the subjective questions are always at the bottom of the page, regardless of other question types on the page.
